Glasgow Firm Leads the Way in Charity Fundraising

Glasgow headquartered technology and growth strategy consulting firm Leading Edge Strategy (LES) is taking part in several fundraising challenges for leading health charity, Chest Heart & Stroke Scotland (CHSS), raising almost £2k for the charity to date.

The team has already completed the ‘Zipslide the Clyde’ event in early September and took part in the Arran Cycle Challenge on 30th September and soon to take on the ‘Abseil the Forth Rail Bridge’ challenge in early October all to raise funds for CHSS.

The firm chose CHSS as the charity is close to the hearts of team members, with some families having experienced the challenges associated with a close relative post-stroke.  The fundraising activity also contributes towards the organisation’s sustainable development goals.

Speaking after the Zipslide the Clyde Challenge Senior Clean Mobility Analyst at LES, Ally Beattie said “We at LES are proud to be supporting Chest Heart and Stroke Scotland this year, a charity very close to many of our employees.

“Sustainability is at the core of all of the activities we complete at LES, and through CHSS we want to work towards helping improve the good health and wellbeing of the world around us as part of our sustainable development goals.

“We’ve really enjoyed taking part in the fundraising activities so far, and would like to wish our colleagues Jack Kean and Luke Paton the best of luck for the forthcoming Arran Cycle Challenge.  The team is also looking forward to taking part in the Forth Bridge Abseil – except maybe for those with a fear of heights!”

Louise Macleod, Community Events and Corporate Fundraiser at Chest Heart & Stroke Scotland said: “We are incredibly grateful to the team at LES for choosing CHSS as their charity of choice and for taking part in so many fantastic challenges to raise funds for us.

“The money raised will go towards helping the one in five people living with chest, heart and stroke conditions to live their lives to the full.”
