Work With Us
Everyone should have the right to live life to the full after a stroke or diagnosis of a chest or heart condition.
Many people living with our conditions experience fear, isolation and loneliness, and struggle to cope with the impact of their health condition on their every day lives.
But our amazing nurses, support workers and volunteers are here to make sure no one has to recover alone.
With our Community Healthcare Support Service, we ensure that people across Scotland get the support they need to live full lives with life changing health conditions.
Services and Support
More people than ever before are living with chest, heart and stroke conditions.
Right now, One in Five of Scotland’s population is living with a chest, heart or stroke condition and Long Covid.
Every day in Scotland…
We believe there should be No Life Half Lived in Scotland. With your support, we can make sure people with chest, heart and stroke conditions and Long Covid can do more than survive – they can really live.
Our No Life Half Lived strategy outlines our belief that every person with our conditions should have access to quality supported self management and community recovery. We will deliver an approach to this that is designed by people with our conditions and puts what matters to them at the heart. We will work to develop the partnerships that will enable this to be available across Scotland.
Our vision is to help shape a Scotland where people with our conditions can live their lives well. Full lives, with the right support, at the right time, and in the right place.

No Life Half Lived Strategy
We provide vital support services to people and their families who are living with the effects of a chest, heart or stroke condition and Long Covid.
Our Community Healthcare Support Service ensures that we can provide one-to-one support tailored to the needs of each person. By being there throughout the recovery process – however that may look – we can ensure that everyone who needs our support can get it, where and when they need it.
From our free, confidential Advice Line and community support services to our Peer Support Groups and Health Information, our services ensure that nobody has to recover alone.
We also campaign for better care and services for people with chest, heart and stroke conditions and Long Covid, provide Health Defence services to help people live healthier lives and invest in services to support the future care of people with our conditions.
We work with public, private and academic sector partners to develop new services and solutions to improve the lives of people living with chest, heart, stroke and Long Covid conditions. These award-winning projects pave the way for improved care and support in the community.
