Chest Heart & Stroke Scotland achieves Investing in Volunteers accreditation 10 August 2026 Chest Heart & Stroke Scotland (CHSS) has been awarded the prestigious Investing in Volunteers accreditation from Volunteer Scotland for the 6th time, recognising the charity’s commitment to providing an outstanding experience for its volunteers. The UK quality standard is awarded to organisations that demonstrate excellence in volunteer management and support. Following an independent assessment, CHSS was recognised for the way it recruits, trains, supports and values volunteers across the organisation. Volunteers play a vital role in helping CHSS support people living with chest, heart and stroke conditions throughout Scotland. From raising funds and awareness, to providing support in communities, volunteers make a significant contribution to the charity’s work every day. Receiving the accreditation highlights CHSS’s dedication to creating meaningful, inclusive and rewarding volunteering opportunities, ensuring volunteers are equipped to make a positive impact while developing their own skills and experiences.
