Be a fundraising superhero

By fundraising for Chest Heart & Stroke Scotland through the 24 peaks challenge, you’ll be helping people across Scotland do more than survive – you’ll help them really live.

Every penny you raise will go towards making sure people get the support they need as they return home from hospital.

“I know I can still do wonderful things with my life.”

You’ll be helping people like Mairi Hedderwick who had a stroke in 2018. In a split second Mairi’s life changed, having been a successful children’s author who loved her life, she was now struggling to read, write or speak.

“I was feeling miserable and ashamed of myself. But then I met Mairi from Chest Heart & Stroke Scotland.

“Mairi was the first person who made me smile and see past my stroke. She helped me accept what had happened and made me feel positive about life again.

“Although I can’t write like I used to, and I can’t paint or draw full illustrations, I can still draw cartoons and doodles for my grandchildren, sew tapestries and complete jigsaws.

“I know I can still do wonderful things with my life.”

So, it’s time to get your fundraising hero cape on and raise money to make sure more people like Mairi get the support they need.
