Take on 11,000 steps a day this April

Register now for our 11,000 Steps a Day in April Challenge – for the 11,000 people who have a stroke in Scotland every year.

Recovery after stroke doesn’t end when someone leaves hospital. After a chest, heart, stroke or Long Covid diagnosis, life can suddenly feel very different – filled with fear, uncertainty and the challenge of finding confidence again.

Every year, more than 11,000 people in Scotland have a stroke.

That’s 11,000 people facing the life-changing impact of recovery. And that’s why campaigns like 11,000 Steps a Day in April matter so much.

Every step you take will help Chest Heart & Stroke Scotland continue to provide the support, understanding and care people need to rebuild their lives – from practical advice and tailored support to friendship, confidence and hope.

At Chest Heart & Stroke Scotland, we believe everyone has the right to live life to the full. We won’t stand by while people are left feeling isolated or overwhelmed by the impact of their condition. That’s why we fight every day to make sure no life is half lived.

This April, we’d love you to be part of that fight.

When you register, you’ll get your FREE T-shirt and join a community of people stepping up across Scotland. And once you’re signed up, we’ll be right beside you with fundraising ideas, support and encouragement every step of the way – just as #TeamCHSS is beside the people and families who need us.

Whether you take on the challenge in honour of someone you love, because of your own experience, or simply because you believe nobody should have to rebuild life alone, your steps will help make a real difference.
