Scottish Pharmacy Group Makes the Right Choice for its Chosen Charity in 2024

Independent pharmacy group Right Medicine Pharmacy has named leading health charity Chest Heart & Stroke Scotland as it’s charity partner for 2024.

The pharmacy group, which has stores in 42 locations and is headquartered in Stirling, has chosen to partner with Chest Heart & Stroke Scotland with the aim of raising as much as £10,000 for the charity this year.

Customers will be able to round up their purchases in store to the nearest pound with money going towards the vital work to support the country’s largest health charity. In addition to in-store fundraising, teams from pharmacies across the country will take part in their own fundraising events to boost the overall total raised.

Our services couldn’t continue without people fundraising, donating and supporting our charity shops, so we’re very grateful for Right Medicine Pharmacy’s commitment to us.

Richard Stephenson, Right Medicine Pharmacy’s director of operations, said: “We are delighted to be supporting such an amazing and extremely worthwhile charity for 2024.

“As a group of over 300 colleagues there will be many who, in some way or another, would require the support of CHSS and that’s before the communities we look after.

“We are looking forward to giving as much support as possible.”

By raising £10,000 Right Medicine Pharmacy could fund 500 hours of CHSS one-to-one support for people living with chest, heart and stroke conditions and Long Covid across Scotland.

Jayne Forbes, Chest Heart & Stroke Scotland’s Assistant Director of Fundraising, said: “We’re thrilled to be working with Right Medicine Pharmacy this year.

“Partnerships are a hugely important part of our work. As well as raising vital funds, this relationship will allow us to reach more people and help realise our vision of a Scotland where people with our conditions can live their lives well.

“Our services couldn’t continue without people fundraising, donating and supporting our charity shops, so we’re very grateful for Right Medicine Pharmacy’s commitment to us.

“The pharmacy teams have an exciting programme of events and activities planned and we can’t wait to support them in their efforts.

“Thanks to everyone at Right Medicine Pharmacy and the communities they serve. Together we can ensure no life is half lived in Scotland.”

Chest Heart & Stroke Scotland is committed to reaching 175,000 people living with its conditions across Scotland a year by 2028 through its Community Healthcare Support Services.
