Glasgow vets makes donation to health charity

Staff at the Glasgow-based Dermatology Referral Service applied for and received £500 from the community fund of its parent company IVC Evidensia. The Dermatology Referral Service has chosen Chest Heart & Stroke Scotland to receive the charitable donation.

It’s a gesture that deserves more than a round of a-paws, and Chest Heart & Stroke Scotland would have been barking mad to turn it down!

We’re delighted to be able to make this donation to CHSS

Staff at the Glasgow-based Dermatology Referral Service had only one charity in mind when they applied for and received £500 from the community fund of its parent company IVC Evidensia.

The Dermatology Referral Service specialises in diagnosing and treating skin, hair, ear and nail diseases in animals, from family dogs and cats to farm animals and horses.

Practice director Laurie Adams explained why the team chose Chest Heart & Stroke Scotland as their first charity recipient from the community fund.

She said: “Most of us here know someone who has been affected by a chest, heart or stroke condition. We had never applied to get the funding before, but it was surprisingly easy and we’re delighted to be able to make this donation to CHSS.

“Doing this has given us some ideas about future charitable fundraising, so watch this space.”
