CHSS Welcomes Jane-Claire Judson as the new Chief Executive Officer

CHSS new CEO announced 2017

Chest Heart & Stroke Scotland (CHSS) has announced the appointment of a new Chief Executive Officer. Jane-Claire Judson will take up the role of leading the Charity at the start of November.

Ms Judson is currently the National Director for Diabetes Scotland, responsible for leading and managing Diabetes UK’s activities in Scotland. She brings a wealth of experience from that role in providing services for people coping with long term conditions.

A graduate of the University of Dundee, Ms Judson is currently a Board member at NHS Health Scotland and was recently appointed to the Scottish Human Rights Commission. Before taking up her role at Diabetes Scotland, she worked for NUS Scotland and at the Scottish Parliament.

Jane-Claire Judson said “It is a privilege to be joining the staff and volunteers of Chest Heart & Stroke Scotland in delivering critical support and services to people affected by the conditions we represent. I am looking forward to building upon the excellent history and work of the charity to deliver a new corporate strategy. It is essential that the potential impact of recent developments in health and social care is fully realised for and in partnership with our local communities”

Dr Roger Smith, Chair of CHSS said “I am delighted that CHSS has attracted a person of the calibre of Ms Judson to join us as CEO. She joins the organisation at an exciting time as we progress the development of a new corporate strategy for the charity and I very much look forward to working with her to achieve our goals.”
