Area-Wide
The purpose of the newly formed Participation Steering Group is to champion, lead, and exemplify an organisation-wide effort to embed the voices of people living with our conditions into the organisation. This group currently includes senior CHSS staff members and operates at a high level of influence. We consider your thoughts, views, and questions to be a vital contribution to designing our strategic approach. Along with a small number of fellow volunteers, you will be supported by our Involvement Co-ordinator to co-create this project and form a community of voices comprised of people with lived experience of our conditions. We understand that reflecting on your lived experience may feel painful and difficult at times. Consequently, we want to ensure our group members are fully supported to contribute from a positive stage in their lives. Please consider the role carefully to make sure it works for you and speak to our Involvement Co-ordinator if you have any concerns.
Reasonable out of pocket expenses will be re-imbursed, these should be discussed with your Line Manager prior to outlay and must be submitted within the prescribed guidelines as detailed in the CHSS Volunteer Expenses Policy.
In line with our commitment to safeguarding, this role is subject to a Basic Disclosure check. CHSS is committed to equality of opportunity, and we aim to ensure that no volunteer is unfairly treated on the grounds of offending background.
