Pioneering stroke service expands after you saved it

Last year our life-changing stroke support service in Tayside was on the verge of closing due to a lack of funds. The future looked bleak for those who rely on its support which helps stroke survivors adjust to home life after hospital.

But when we put out a call for help, our supporters showed they truly cared about people in their communities. Campaigners and fundraisers rallied together and raised more than £30,000 to save the service!

Our chief executive, Jane-Claire Judson, joined in with a comic themed bucket shake in Dundee!

The service was more than saved

Thanks to the kind donations of supporters we have now rolled out this pioneering service across Dundee and Angus, reaching more people and helping more families in Tayside than ever before.

The service was able to give our staff extra hours and resources to provide more stroke survivors with one to one support, helping people adjust to home life and rebuild their confidence after a stroke.

Your donations help to fund our vital services across Scotland. Please give whatever you can at chss.org.uk/donate – thank you.

People are leaving hospital feeling scared and alone. You can change that.

Your donation can help people do more than just survive – you can help them really live.
