Don’t forget to ‘Spring Forward’ by setting your clocks one hour ahead on Saturday night… We wouldn’t want anyone to be late for what’s set to be our best Loch Leven Walkathon yet!!
The Loch Leven Walkathon is returning to the beautiful Loch Leven’s Larder on Sunday 25th March – join us and help CHSS support those in Scotland recovering from life-changing illnesses to get their quality of life back. With three walking distances to choose from, there is something for everyone. Choose your challenge: a 7K walk including an optional Easter Egg Hunt for families, a 12K route past the impressive Kinross House, or the full 13 mile circuit – the equivalent of walking a half marathon around the scenic loch!
- All routes start and finish at Loch Leven's Larder and are along well-maintained, traffic free footpaths. The walks are signposted, with fantastic views, and there will be event marshals to cheer you along.
- Walkers can sign in at Loch Leven’s Larder, where you will receive a CHSS t-shirt to wear while walking.
- Every walker will also receive a medal and goody-bag once they cross that finish line!

7K AND 12K WALK
Easter Egg Hunt – Taking part in the 7K walk? Join in our family Easter Egg Hunt! Collect clues when you register and follow the trail to win a prize!
Sponsorship: We would love our walkers to support people with life-changing conditions in the local community by getting sponsored for their walk or by making a donation. For the 7K and 12K walks, there is no minimum sponsorship but we would be very grateful if you took this great opportunity to raise what you can to support our vital work. Optional sponsor forms and information about raising funds will be included in your registration pack should you wish to raise sponsorship or make a donation on the day.
Accessibility: The 7K and 12K walks are wheelchair- and buggy- friendly. Families, groups and well-behaved dogs on leads are all very welcome! A limited number of electric scooters are available. Please book in advance to reserve one if required.
Age restrictions: Children are very much welcome at the Walkathon. All children (under 5) and young people (aged 5-17) must be accompanied on all routes by a responsible adult aged 18 or over. There must be a maximum of 4 young people per accompanying adult for all routes.
13 MILE WALK
Sponsorship: We ask that 13 mile walkers use this opportunity to raise a minimum of £50 sponsorship for CHSS – we will of course provide support to help you meet and beat your fundraising target! You will be asked to pay £10 towards this sponsorship target when you register, leaving just £40 to raise.
Accessibility: The 13mile walk involves a small flight of steps and is therefore not wheelchair accessible.
We ask that all participants are confident in completing the 13 mile route within a 6 hour time limit including breaks.
Age restrictions: We would recommend that participants for the 13mile walk are 13 or over on the day of the event, however younger walkers can take part at the discretion of their parents.
