In 2027, the Tour de France returns to the UK for the first time in over a decade, with the Grand Départ taking place in the city of Edinburgh. Before the world’s best cyclists line up at the start, you’ll have the incredible opportunity to ride the opening stage yourself as part of this fully supported fundraising challenge.
This is far more than a cycling event. It’s your chance to experience the atmosphere, anticipation and excitement of one of the world’s most iconic sporting occasions before the professionals take to the roads. As towns and villages prepare to welcome the Tour, you’ll ride through the same spectacular scenery, tackle the same climbs and soak up the unique buzz that only a Grand Départ can create.
Whether you’re an experienced cyclist looking for your next challenge or you’re searching for an inspiring goal to support a cause close to your heart, this challenge offers the perfect combination of adventure, achievement and fundraising. We’re asking all our fundraising heroes to promise to raise £1200 in sponsorship, but the sky’s the limit! Alternatively, you can self fund £600 and raise what you can. Either way we will provide all the support you need to help you meet and beat your fundraising goal.
