As dusk falls, you’ll set off from Helix Park to complete a spectacular 5K in the shadow of the Kelpies. The 30ft tall sculptures of the mythical creatures will be lit up in changing colours to create an amazing backdrop for your run.
The brighter the better at this 5K – fluorescent clothing, glowsticks, torches and anything that glows, flashes, sparkles or shines is very much encouraged! Get the whole family involved in this fun 5K at one of Scotland’s best-loved landmarks and raise money to help people with chest, heart and stroke conditions do more than survive.
It’s time to get ready… steady… GLOW!

By signing up to run the Supernova Kelpies 5K, you’re doing something amazing.
As part of your FREE charity place, we would ask you to promise to raise at least £80 in sponsorship.
Every penny you raise will go towards helping someone in Scotland do more than survive when they return home from hospital with a chest, heart or stroke condition – you’ll help them really live.
You’ll be helping people like mum of two Catriona, who had a heart attack out of the blue at the beginning of lockdown. Her family were terrified and Catriona feared the worst.
“It’s amazing to think how far I’ve come with the help of Chest Heart & Stroke Scotland.”
“I felt anxious and on edge when I got home,” she says. “The normal face-to-face services weren’t available, everything was thrown up in the air because of the virus. The usual support wasn’t there.”
But then she started talking to our Hospital to Home nurse, Wendy and everything changed.
Wendy helped Catriona get the support she really needed, helping to control her anxiety and manage her condition.
“I feel like I can ask her anything – even if it’s a daft question. And I know I could call her at any time if I feel worried. It is so reassuring to know she is there for me,” says Catriona.
By fundraising at the Supernova events, you’ll be helping to fund nurses like Wendy so more people across Scotland can get the support they need right now.
So, it’s time to get your superhero fundraising cape on!
If you need any support to make your fantastic fundraising ideas really fly, we’re here to help!
