Already have a place or team in the acclaimed event? Why not raise funds for CHSS in your challenge ride and make every pedal count
Entries for the prestigious and acclaimed Ride the North (now in its 10th year!) are by ballot with a limited number available BUT CHSS have a number of protected charity places for anyone who wants to join the Chest Heart & Stroke Scotland Cycle Team. Not only will you be taking on the challenge of a lifetime but also helping those in your local community affected by chest heart and stroke illness and help us to continue to support them with their life changing illnesses.
Benefits of becoming a CHSS rider not only include an amazing team spirit but additional support on event weekend as well as the event organisers but also free fundraising packs, including your own bespoke CHSS cycle jersey and technical top as well as training sessions and on hand continuous support through your fundraising and training!
The route will take place in the sublime and iconic scenery (as well as tough but rewarding hills) of the Grampian & Moray Region and the finalised route will be announced very soon but each day will see you ride between Castle Fraser to Elgin and then return on day two. Note this is a cycle challenge for everyone with different wave times across the two days to suit all but will require individuals to be able to cycle approx. 170 miles over two days. Don’t worry for some of the tougher hills a bit of walking as you take in the scenery is not unusual with numerous pit stops across the two days which will feature more home bakes, snacks and comfort opportunities.Ride the North celebrates the love of cycling and rather than a race is a truly fantastic cycle challenge with peers or alone!
Please note this is a cycle challenge that attracts a wide spectrum of cyclists, but designed to be achievable.
