Saturday 21st October 2023

East Lothian or East Ayrshire

Spooktacular Fun for All the Family

Tackle an epic challenge that’s fun for all the family at the Halloween Blackout 5K Run on Saturday 21st October!

There are two incredible events to choose from, either in East Lothian or East Ayrshire.

The action-packed Halloween Blackout 5K Run includes over 30 amazing obstacles, from the tricky tyre wall to the barbed wire army crawl, and tunnels and trenches filled with water guaranteed to make a splash. Suitable for all ages (8+), you’ll take on everything from rope swings to Ninja Warrior rings!

You’ll need stamina and determination to make your way round the 5k course, but you’ll have loads of fun along the way. This ghoulishly good night is perfect whether you’re an assault course pro or a complete beginner.

Head torches are mandatory as this is a night run and all children under 16 must be accompanied by an adult with the minimum age of 8.

Costumes are encouraged – the sillier, spookier, and more eye-catching the better!

There will be a host of food and drink vendors and entertainment for a fun, festival atmosphere on the day, and there’s free parking too.

So, grab your friends and family and create your own team, or take on the course by yourself – it’s up to you. Sign up now and secure your place on this spooktacular adventure.

Be a Fundraising Superhero

By signing up for the Halloween Blackout 5K Run, you’re making a difference.

We’re asking all our fundraising heroes to fundraise for the event as every £20 raised will provide one hour of vital one to one support for someone living with one of our conditions. We will provide all the support you need to help you meet and beat your fundraising goal.

Every penny you raise will go towards helping someone in Scotland rebuild their life and get back to doing the things that matters to them when they return home from hospital with a chest, heart or stroke condition.

Just ask Troy

Last year, Troy, 53 from East Lothian suffered a stroke leading to the ‘darkest time of his life.’

He is grateful for the support provided by Chest Heart & Stroke Scotland.

“I have never felt more scared and alone than when I had a stroke.

“But life changed for me when I got help from Chest Heart & Stroke Scotland.

“The team at this amazing charity rescued me and my family from the darkest time in our lives.”
