George suffered two strokes in September 2024. George and his wife Joan took part in our Supported Self Management course.
George said: “Every week has been so helpful, and everything is easy to follow. The pace is just right, and we both feel we are getting so much benefit from taking part.
“I can’t thank Chest Heart & Stroke Scotland enough for all the help I’ve had since this happened. I don’t know where I’d be without you.”
Joan added: “There’s a great ambience. Everyone feels comfortable being there and sharing their experiences. It’s been a great way to build George’s confidence and is teaching us both about problem-solving.
“We can’t thank Chest Heart & Stroke Scotland enough for being there when we needed them. I’d tell anyone who can to get on to a self management course because it will make such a difference.”
