Think FAST

Stroke doesn’t stop at Christmas time. A stroke can happen anytime and anywhere.

By the end of today, 25 people across Scotland will have suffered a stroke. The same will happen tomorrow.

The NHS is still open for business, if you suspect a stroke, act FAST and call 999.

Think FAST is a simple way to recognise the signs of a stroke:
? FACE – Can the person smile, does one side of their face droop?
? ARM – Can they lift both arms? Is one weak?
? SPEECH – Is their speech slurred or muddled?
⏰ TIME – If ANY ONE of these signs or symptoms are present, call 999.

The sooner a person receives treatment for a stroke, the better the outcome is likely to be. Please share this message far and wide, and make sure your friends and family know what to do in an emergency.

People are leaving hospital feeling scared and alone. You can change that.

Your donation can help people do more than just survive – you can help them really live.
