CHSS launch My Lungs My Life website

My Lungs My Life - LogosCHSS is pleased to announce the launch of My Lungs My Life, a new self management website for anyone affected by COPD (Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease), Asthma or parents of children with Asthma.

My Lungs My Life is full of interactive content, animations, film and audio clips plus information which can be downloaded directly from the site. It has been designed to provide practical tips and advice including support links to help people understand and self manage their conditions.

It includes sections on:

  • What is COPD/asthma
  • Diagnosis
  • Treatment including film clips demonstrating correct inhaler use
  • Practical self management tips

The website has been developed by Chest Heart & Stroke Scotland and written by respiratory specialists from NHS Scotland in collaboration with Respiratory Managed Clinical Networks, British Lung Foundation, Scottish Government and University of Edinburgh. All  content has been independently reviewed by patients, parents and health care professionals.
