Antiques Specialists to Help Forres Residents Uncover Hidden Treasures for Charity

Lyon & Turnbull, one of the UK’s premiere fine art and antiques auctioneers, is holding a valuation day in Forres to raise funds for Chest Heart & Stroke Scotland.

The valuation day is the ideal chance for people in the area to have any heirlooms and family treasures viewed and appraised by experts in the field. All Lyon & Turnbull’s specialist departments will be represented, from jewellery and silver, to paintings, ceramics, Asian art, and furniture, so attendees have the opportunity to have a wide range of items valued.

“The funds raised from this fantastic initiative will go towards supporting those people in Scotland with chest, heart and stroke conditions to live their lives to the full.”

The event takes place on Saturday 29th July from 12pm-4pm at St Leonard’s Church in Forres. Valuations cost £10 for the first three items and £5 for additional items, with all proceeds going to Scotland’s leading health charity, Chest Heart & Stroke Scotland.  Any additional donations are also welcome.

There will also be an opportunity to purchase Chest Heart & Stroke Scotland merchandise at the event, with representatives from the charity’s retail team attending.

Kier Mulholland, Silver Specialist at Lyon & Turnbull and organiser of the event said: “Our team are very much looking forward to visiting Forres at the end of the month and sharing their knowledge to help raise funds for the important work Chest Heart & Stroke Scotland carries out across the country.”

Jayne Forbes, Assistant Director of Fundraising at Chest Heart & Stroke Scotland commented: “We are very grateful to the team at Lyon & Turnbull for choosing Chest Heart & Stroke Scotland as its charity of the year, and to benefit from the proceeds of the valuation day. We’re excited to see what treasures will be uncovered!
