Win a night at a luxury glamping pod and raise cash for charity!

Fancy a romantic night for two in the ultimate glamping pod on a secluded Perthshire estate far from the madding Christmas crowds?

Well, it could be yours thanks to the amazing generosity of Tracey and Robbie Horton, the owners of Culdees Castle Estate at Muthill in Perthshire.

Tracey has donated a night in one of the estate’s luxury glamping pods to help raise funds for Chest Heart & Stroke Scotland. And it’s all thanks to her friendship with Debbie Matthews, a stroke survivor and ambassador for the charity.

“I met Debbie when I bought some candles from her and we have become really good friends. Her story of her stroke and recovery is very poignant and she has gone through a lot,” explains Tracey.

“I wanted to do something positive for the local community and to honour my friend, and what better way than to offer a Christmas present for someone?”

Robbie and Tracey Horton are restoring the historic Culdees Castle Estate and transforming it into a holiday and wedding destination.

The Hortons have set up a JustGiving page and anyone who donates a minimum of £25 will have a chance to winning the night in the Drummond pod on the estate on Thursday, December 23. Every penny raised from the JustGiving page will go to Chest Heart & Stroke Scotland.

The pod boasts a kingsize bed and its own spa hot tub, and the couple who claim the prize – who must be over 18 – will also luxuriate in their own gown and slippers as they enjoy a romantic night under the Perthshire stars.

Tracey moved from Kent with her family in 2019, intent on restoring Culdees Castle Estate and turning this historic site into a holiday and wedding destination.

Debbie, who lives in Comrie, has also been volunteering with the restoration work at the castle.

“Tracey and I just clicked and have become such good friends. She said she was inspired by my story, and to give away a night like this is such a lovely gesture,” explains Debbie.

“I’ve stayed in the glamping pod, and it is amazing, real high-end luxury. Whoever stays there will be truly spoiled.”

Stroke survivor Debbie has been helping with the restoration project.

Jen Lindsay, Fundraising manager at Chest Heart & Stroke Scotland says: “This is such a generous gift and I thank Tracey and Robbie so much for supporting us. Also, thank you to Debbie for her continued support of the organisation, we are so lucky to have such a great ambassador.

“This winter will be especially hard for people living with our conditions so any funds raised will make sure that people leaving hospital will get the help that they need when they need it most. Your donation to win this prize will help people to do more than survive.”

Head over to the JustGiving page for your chance to win a night in the Culdees Castle Estate glamping pod. The prize must be taken on December 23 and is not transferrable to another date. Guests must be aged 18 or over. No children, pets or visitors are allowed.
