Stylish charity shop opening in Galashiels!

Fashion followers will be delighted to learn that Chest Heart & Stroke Scotland (CHSS) is holding the grand opening of its brand new discount store at 11am on Friday 20th October at 3-7 Park Street in Galashiels. This will be CHSS’s second discount shop in the Borders following on from their successful Community Hub in Hawick.

The store will boast a fabulous collection of clothes, accessories and bric-a-brac which will be sold at really affordable prices. The charity’s best-selling range of Scottish themed Christmas cards, greeting cards, diaries and Galashiels themed gifts will be available in the brand new store.

Hazel Miller, Shop Manager said, “We are all really excited about opening our new shop in Galashiels. There is a great sense of community in the area and we have already received lots of interest from locals passing by.”

“The team here has been working really hard to get everything ready for opening day and the shop is looking great! We keep a high standard and quality of stock at fantastic prices for customers to enjoy their shopping experience. All items in the shop have been donated to CHSS and all the profits help to provide support for people as they get their lives back on track following a stroke or diagnosis of a chest or heart condition. Donations are always welcome and we look forward to getting to know the local customers!”

“Volunteering is always in style and you can become part of a lively team in the store, with plenty of customers to chat to, stock to organise and windows to dress. It’s a really exciting time to join the team as we grow and develop within Galashiels and support one another as we all settle into our new roles. As a volunteer, you are not only helping to rebuild someone’s confidence but also developing skills while doing something rewarding and worthwhile. You can gain new skills, build new friendships, broaden your experiences and open up the door to new possibilities!”

“At CHSS we appreciate how busy life can get and are happy to work around you. So if you could spare a few hours we’d love to hear from you and welcome you to our team. For more information on volunteering opportunities call the shop on 01896 755005.”
