Competition Terms and Conditions

 

1. Introduction 

1.1. By entering the prize draw, you are agreeing to these prize draw terms and conditions.

1.2. The prize draw is being run by Chest Heart & Stroke Scotland (CHSS), a registered Scottish charity (SC018761). 

 

2. Eligibility to Enter 

2.1. The prize draw is open to individuals aged 18 years or over.
2.2. Employees or volunteers of CHSS directly involved in the administration of this prize draw are excluded from entry.
2.3. In entering the prize draw, you confirm that you are eligible to do so and eligible to claim any prize you may win.
2.4. A maximum of one entry per individual is permitted.
2.5. The prize draw is free to enter. 

 

3. How to Enter 

3.1. The draw is based on completion of a Microsoft Form quiz, available via official CHSS channels.
3.2. Each eligible quiz entry will generate a unique number which will be entered into a random number generator for the draw.
3.3. Entries must be received by midnight on 31 December each calendar year to be included in that year’s draw.
3.4. CHSS will not accept responsibility for incomplete or misdirected entries or for technical failures of any kind. 

 

4. The Prize 

4.1. One winner will be selected at random each calendar year from all eligible entries.
4.2. The prize is a £100 voucher redeemable in CHSS charity shops.
4.3. The voucher is non-exchangeable, non-transferable, and cannot be redeemed for cash or any alternative.
4.4. CHSS reserves the right to substitute the voucher with another prize of equal or greater value if necessary, due to circumstances beyond its control.
4.5. The decision of CHSS regarding any aspect of the prize draw is final and binding. No correspondence will be entered into. 

 

5. Winner Announcement 

5.1. The winner will be drawn at random and notified via the email address provided in their quiz entry within 14 days of the draw closing.
5.2. CHSS will attempt to contact the winner up to two times.
5.3. If the winner does not respond within 14 days of the second email, they forfeit their right to the prize, and CHSS reserves the right to draw a new winner. 

 

6. Receipt of the Prize 

6.1. Delivery or collection of the prize will be arranged directly with the winner within 30 days of confirmation.
6.2. Any physical delivery arrangements must be mutually agreed between CHSS and the winner. 

 

7. Data Protection and Publicity 

7.1. Any personal data provided will be used solely for administering the prize draw and in accordance with CHSS’s Privacy Policy: https://www.chss.org.uk/privacy.

7.2. The winner’s first name may be shared publicly by CHSS for promotional purposes, unless the winner explicitly requests anonymity.

7.3. All entrants may request details of the winner by contacting [email protected]  within 30 days of the prize draw closing.

 

8. Limitation of Liability 

8.1. CHSS accepts no responsibility for any damage, loss, injury, or disappointment incurred as a result of entering the draw or accepting the prize.

8.2. This clause does not exclude liability for death or personal injury caused by CHSS’s negligence. 

 

9. General 

9.1. CHSS reserves the right to cancel, amend, or suspend the prize draw or these terms and conditions at any time, without prior notice.
9.2. The prize draw and these terms and conditions are governed by Scottish law and subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Scottish courts.
