Fundraising Community Support Volunteer


Being a Fundraising Supporter Volunteer is a fantastic opportunity to contribute to the success of a leading health charity and make a real difference to the people we support. As a Fundraising Supporter Volunteer you will get to meet new people in your community and also have the satisfaction of knowing you are making a valuable contribution to raising funds and awareness of CHSS.

Your role will include:

  • Attend organised CHSS bucket collections (Indoors and outdoors).
  • Raise awareness of CHSS in local communities.
  • Engage with public when they contribute to the bucket collection.
  • Volunteer in a team to raise profile of CHSS.

What skills do I need?

  • Enjoy engaging with people.
  • Friendly, polite and cheerful personality.
  • Ability to get to and from the bucket collection location safely.
  • Comfortable to carry cash safety from events and organise funds to be processed to fundraising team.
  • Happy to pack public’s shopping while taking part in bag packing.

The minimum age for this role is 16 years – for volunteers between the ages of 16 and 18 a young persons consent form will be required and the young persons guidance followed.

How will I be supported in my role?

You will be fully supported to undertake your role safely and effectively. You will be supported by CHSS Fundraising member of staff who will be your main point of contact. You will also be given a full induction and be expected to undertake core learning, which includes:

  • Health and Safety (COVID-19)
  • Equality & Diversity
  • Confidentiality and Safeguarding
  • GDPR Essentials
  • Manual handling

As a CHSS volunteer you will be required to undertake a Basic Disclosure Check before commencing your role as a Fundraising Supporter Volunteer.
