We are seeking maternity cover for the post of Health Defence Lead, who will be integral in delivering our new and exciting Health Defence Programme and line management of the Health Defence team.

The vision for our new CHSS Health Defence programme is to deliver our health prevention strategy to raise awareness of risk factors and condition symptoms in the Scottish population. The post holder will be responsible for the development and delivery of health promotion services and wellbeing programmes. This includes targeting individuals and communities who are at high risk of developing chest, heart and stroke conditions (especially in areas of deprivation) and supporting healthy lifestyle change.

We are seeking an individual who is organised, motivated, with good communication skills and who has experience in delivering health promotion services.  Candidates must have an Allied Health Professional/First Level Nursing qualification or qualifications in Health Promotion/Public Health; and have evidence of continued professional development. Access to a car is essential.

This post is fixed-term for 14 months and is subject to PVG clearance.
