We LV to see it! Louis Vuitton staff volunteer their time in Chest Heart & Stroke Scotland boutique

Staff from Edinburgh’s Louis Vuitton store in Multrees Walk volunteered their time at Chest Heart & Stroke Scotland’s store in Davidson’s Mains over the course of two days (5th and 6th May) to help people living with chest, heart and stroke conditions in their community.

Claire Kelly, Senior Client Advisor at Louis Vuitton and Lesley Forbes, Client Advisor volunteered their time as part of the brand’s Skills Sponsorship Programme where staff are encouraged to support their local community by providing their skills and support to local causes.

Claire and Lesley worked closely with Brian Smith, Shop Manager at the charity’s Davidson’s Mains boutique and the Assistant Manager, Laura Scotland, learning how stock is donated, processed and priced and providing support and expertise with visual merchandising.

They used their skills to dress the charity’s shop window with two fantastic displays and many items they featured sold before the end of the day.

Brian Smith, Shop Manager at Chest Heart & Stroke Scotland’s store, said:

“It was brilliant having Claire and Lesley volunteering with us in the store. They were a huge help and the shop really benefited from their expertise and enthusiasm – it was a joy to work with them.

“They created two fantastic window displays featuring bright, dressing clothing and many of the items they included had sold before the end of the day!

“They shared their expertise on seasonality, trends and the use of themes which was really helpful for our shop team going forward when planning displays and highlighting products in store.

“Every purchase made in our store, helps people living with chest, heart and stroke conditions to do more than survive and really live. It was great to have Claire and Lesley’s support to increase sales and help more people in our community.”

Funds raised through Chest Heart & Stroke Scotland shops are vital in helping fund our essential services across Scotland which support people with chest, heart and stroke conditions to live their lives to the full.

We couldn’t run our charity shops without amazing volunteers like Claire and Lesley.
