Chest, Heart & Stroke Scotland operates Volunteer Stroke Service (VSS) groups. The aim of the VSS is to provide a range of services which meets the needs of a person who has had a stroke.

The VSS provides a welcoming and stimulating environment which

  • supports and promotes communication
  • respects everyone as competent adults
  • encourages social interaction

There are volunteer opportunities in

  • Aviemore
  • Broadford
  • Dingwall
  • Fort William
  • Halkirk
  • Inverness
  • Lewis & Harris (home visits only)
  • Mallaig
  • North Uist & Benbecula (home visits only)
  • Portree
  • Thurso
  • Wick

There are also volunteer opportunities at our charity shops in Forres and Inverness and at our award winning coffee shop in Inverness.
