Charity Shop — Driver
All our 21 shops are staffed by volunteers, under the supervision of a shop manager and assistant manager, and we couldn't begin to raise the £1 million + each year from our shops without volunteer help.
We are always on the lookout for more volunteers If you can spare a few hours – once a week, once a month: it's up to you! – your local shop manager would love to hear from you.
There's something for everyone including: window dressing , driving, and admin assistance, as well as the traditional roles on the shop floor and in the stock room which are always needed! If you have previous retail or management experience, we are also looking for volunteers to fill our enhanced roles, providing emergency cover for the manager or assistant manager.
Volunteering in our shops is a great way to meet new people and make new friends.
Shop Driver
To keep our charity shops across Scotland fully stocked we need volunteer drivers to collect donated stock from members of the public, and also to deliver stock between our shops.
The level of involvement is arranged to suit you, as we need regular weekly drivers, regular rota drivers, and relief drivers who can provide cover from time to time.
You will need to use your own car and have had a full licence for at least three years. We pay a mileage allowance and can advise you on insurance issues.
Training will be provided by CHSS and all volunteers are supported by their shop manager.
