Stroke Voices Resources
Stroke Voices supports people living with the effects of stroke to have their say and improve stroke services through free training and support.
Stroke Voices was developed over two years with funding from the Scottish Government. For information on the development of the training view the Stroke Voices Closure Report and poster (see Related documents).

Public involvement guidance for health professionals
This guidance (see Related documents) gives tips and suggestions as to how to make public engagement more effective from both the NHS and patient representatives perspective. It also signposts recognised resources to facilitate this process.
The guidance includes information to consider prior to Stroke Voices training. It suggests good practice for engaging with representatives living with the effects of a stroke at NHS meetings and other consultations.
Bodies that benefit from this guidance will include:
- Stroke Managed Clinical Networks (MCNs)
- Community Health Partnerships (CHPs)
- Public Partnership Forums (PPFs)
- NHS Bodies across Scotland
- Voluntary organisations with an interest in stroke
- Organisations and individuals with an interest in stroke across Scotland

Helping communication after a stroke
