Managed Clinical Networks

Managed Clinical Networks [MCNs] have been developed across Scotland to support a modern approach to improving health care and services in Scotland.

Membership of MCNs is open to patients and carers, joining doctors, nurses, managers, therapists... to improve chest, heart and stroke care for local people.

Each Managed Clinical Network [MCN] deals with one illness e.g. Conoronary Heart Disease, Stroke, Respiratory Illness and is made up of a main group who coordinate the local services and receive information and advice from many smaller (sub-groups) looking at specific issues.

Managed Clinical Networks [MCN] are in your local area and their influence is growing. They are looking for your help. Look out for opportunities to get involved in the local press, your local hospital, GP surgery and community centres.
