Great Scottish Run, Glasgow - 4 September 2011
There are plenty of reasons to run but only one Great Great Scottish run (formerly the Fresh ‘N’ Lo 10K). Take part in Scotland’s largest mass participation sporting event and achieve something you maybe never thought was possible. With a 10K and Half Marathon distance availlable the Great Scottish Run is the run for everyone – from seasoned runners who want to push to the limit, to the rest of us who would just like to get a bit fitter!

River Ness 10K, Loch Ness - 2 October 2011
"A Monster Race...running alongside the shores of the world's most famous loch."
This is a flat point-to-point route through the historic Highland capital of Inverness, past the Castle and along the banks of the picturesque River Ness. Participants are given goodie bags, medals and t-shirts, as well as having access to post-race food and water stations. With a marathon and 5K on the same day it is a real party atmosphere, with a festival and pasta party the night before making it an event not to be missed. For more details get in touch with Alison
Ignis Asset Management Women’s 10K, Glasgow – 8 May 2011

Edinburgh Marathon Festival 10K – 22 May 2011
In this massive festival of running there is a 10k, 5k, half marathon, marathon and team relay available. We hold guaranteed places in all as well as welcoming those with their own places. HALF MARATHONS/KILOMATHONS
The half marathon is a great length of run, and although it doesn’t take the commitment needed for a marathon, stamina and speed endurance are still crucial.

BUPA Great North Run, Newcastle – 18 September 2011
The world's biggest half marathon, the Bupa Great North Run, with over 54,000 participating in 2010. This is a point-to-point course that starts in Newcastle and finishes in South Shields with great crowd support along the way. For more details get in touch with Alison (see above)

Scotland Kilomathon – 17 April 2011
The Kilomathon is back for its second year. If you want to challenge yourself to more than a half marathon but don’t want to tackle the marathon distance yet this is the perfect run for you. Last year the route took runners across the Forth Road Bridge – a unique experience for all. We have charity places available in this run as well as welcoming those with their own places.

A marathon, although an achievable goal for many, is not to be taken lightly and will require serious training and mental preparation. Baxters Loch Ness Marathon – 2 October 2011
Recognised as one of the UK's leading marathons, the Baxters Loch Ness Marathon follows a spectacular point-to-point route through stunning Highland scenery, along the south-eastern shores of Loch Ness, and then crosses the River Ness to finish in Inverness Queens Park Stadium. All runners, friends and family are invited to the Baxters Pasta Party taking place the night before! During the Pasta Party there will be live music, and a small number of physiotherapists and massage therapists. We have charity places available and also welcome runners with independent places.

5K RUNS
A great distance for the complete beginner, couch potato, or the experienced race runner alike. There are a huge variety of 5Ks available across the country. BUPA Great Winter Run, Edinburgh – 8 January 2011
Run off the turkey and mince pies at this run round the iconic Arthurs Seat. It may be chilly but the atmosphere is always cheery!

Big Fun Runs 2011: Dundee 17 September, Aberdeen 18 September, Edinburgh TBC, Glasgow TBC
Run, walk or jog! All of the runs are 5K in length and are suitable for people of all ages. Children under 13 can enter but must WALK the course and be accompanied by a paying adult. You can enter as an individual, or as part of a family or team from your office or sports club. The main focus of The Big Fun Run is to have fun whilst raising money for Chest, Heart & Stroke Scotland. All Big Fun Runners will receive a 'Big Fun Run' Medal and a Goodie Bag. Baxters River Ness 5k – Loch Ness, 2 October 2011
The popular 5K Fun Run is open to runners of all ages and abilities including wheelchair entrants and is part of the Loch Ness Marathon & Festival of Running. It follows a flat route along the River Ness before circling back to finish at Inverness Queens Park Stadium. Participants are given goodie bags, medals and t-shirts as well as having access to post-race food and water stations. A great family orientated series of events. You can choose to run, jog, walk or toddle around Edinburgh over distances of 1 to 7miles while raising funds for Chest Heart & Stroke Scotland. The emphasis is very much on having fun and each participant will receive a medal and goody bag.

Loch Leven Walkathon – 27 March 2011
New for 2011 is our Chest Heart & Stroke Scotland's own Walkathon in the East of Scotland. Set on fully accessible paths alongside the beautiful Loch Leven this is the perfect walk to shake off the dark night and step into spring. More details available soon. Watch this space!
Dee Don Walkathon – 1 October 2011
