CHSS Recycling

Don’t throw cash away! Help us raise more funds through recycling.

CHSS can convert your unwanted goods into valuable money to help fund our work supporting people with chest, heart and stroke illnesses.

Recycling also offers all of us the chance to make one step further in conserving our planet for future generations.

Here are some of the ways you can help:

Recycle your mobile phone:

  • Recycling is important because mobile phones contain dangerous toxic materials that should not be placed in land-fills
  • CHSS can receive up to £7 for each mobile phone we recycle
  • There are over 15 million mobile phones replaced each year and yet less than 5% are recycled!

To donate your unwanted mobile phone today send it to Greener Solutions, FREEPOST, LON17592, Mitcham, CR4 3UZ and please include a note to say you would like the donation to go to CHSS. Please remember to include the charger if you have it. If you are a company interested in donating your mobile phone stock to CHSS please contact us on 0131 225 4800.

Printer cartridges

  • Over 30 million printer cartridges are thrown away in the UK each year
  • Almost 27 million of these unwanted printer cartridges can be recycled and reused
  • Did you know it takes more than 1.5 pints of oil to make a new toner cartridge?
  • CHSS can receive up to £2.50 for each one we recycle

So please donate your old cartridges today by dropping them off at your local CHSS shop.

Household items and clothes

CHSS welcomes donations of quality unwanted clothes and small household goods (we cannot unfortunately accept items of furniture or electrical goods)

So does your house need a bit of a clearout? We rely on a constant supply of donations of high quality items to our retail shops.

We welcome good quality saleable items and a typical donation of unwanted goods can raise over £20.

You can donate your household items at any of our local CHSS retail shops.
