White Water Rafting on the River Tay

Chest Heart & Stroke Scotland's 'Ultimate White Water Rafting' is an amazing adventure!

It combines team work, determination and courage to safely negotiate the white water rapids and win the rafting race.

On the day

The Challenge combines a break-neck 3 mile flat water race followed by 3 miles shooting of the rapids.

Your team will experience some of the fastest white water in Scotland, between Aberfeldy and Grandtully and your crew will be pushed to their limits for 2hrs of intense physical competition and heart stopping action.

Do you have what it takes to risk it all and guide your team to victory down this internationally graded river?

Team Entry

You must register as a team of 8 to crew the raft, so why not start encouraging your friends or colleagues to sign up now?

The ultimate White Water Rafting Challenge

A glass of Bucks Fizz and a bacon roll awaits your team when you arrive at Grandtully and, on completion of the course, a scrumptious two course meal will help you all rejuvenate.

The CHSS Ultimate White Water Rafting Trophy is awarded to the winning team and medals for the 2nd and 3rd placed teams. Everyone who completes the challenge will be presented with a commemorative certificate.

Sponsorship

We will ask your team to raise a minimum of £950 between the 8 members - that's around £120 per person.

All money raised will be used by Chest, Heart & Stroke Scotland to change the lives of people living through the toughest of circumstances.

It costs almost £1,000 a year to provide all the specialist care and equipment that a person disabled through stroke will require to attend one of our support groups.

Taking on this ultimate challenge will make a real difference to Scotland's health.

Your Safety

A highly skilled instructor will be on board each raft and will remain with each team at all times.

All equipment required will be supplied on the day, including:

  • wet-suit
  • spray jacket
  • buoyancy aid
  • safety helmet

How to take part

Once you register, we will provide all you need to get your fundraising flowing, from sponsorship forms to press releases along with hints and tips on different ways of fundraising.

We will also put you in touch with your local CHSS regional fundraiser who will be on hand to give you fundraising tips, advice, information and support.
