Forth Rail Bridge - Ultimate Abseil - October 3rd 2010

This unique challenge is your chance to abseil 165ft SAS style (i.e. free-fall) from the Forth Rail Bridge onto the beach below. The Forth Bridge Abseil is a real adrenaline rush for the daring and the ultimate challenge for the rest of us!

The June 2010 was a great success, but don't fret, if you missed it, you can register to take part in the Forth Rail Bridge Abseil on October 3rd 2010 here.

No previous experience is necessary to take part in the Forth Bridge Abseil it's suitable for everyone over the age of 16. Our team of highly skilled instructors will ensure you are equipped with all you need to make your abseil as safe and enjoyable as possible. Participants MUST be aged 16 years or over. Parental consent is required for persons aged 16 or 17 wishing to abseil.

Access to the Forth Rail Bridge is only possible due to the generosity of Network Rail. We are delighted to work with them and Balfour Beatty again to offer you this limited opportunity to abseil from the bridge.

Each abseiler must pledge to raise a minimum of £120 for Chest, Heart & Stroke Scotland in sponsorship. Advance sponsorship of £20 is needed to confirm your place.

Once you register, we provide all you need to get your fundraising off the ground, from sponsorship forms to press releases and hints and tips to help rope in your supporters.

All money raised will go to Chest Heart & Stroke Scotland’s services - improving the quality of life for people in Scotland affected by chest, heart and stroke illness, through medical research, advice and information, and support in the community.
