Managing Cardiovascular Risk — 20 credits at masters level
Prepares the student to assess and reduce the risk of cardiovascular disease, working within an inter-disciplinary team, providing effective communication and evidence based practice to deliver effective cardiovascular care.
Part-time 10 weeks from October to December or blended learning ( 2 days followed by e-learning).

Stroke Management – 20 point module at SCQF level 9
This module is delivered in partnership with University of West of Scotland, Chest Heart & Stroke Scotland and NHS Lanarkshire / NHS Greater Glasgow & Clyde Stroke Managed Clinical Networks.
FREE to NHS Lanarkshire staff if applied for under the local service level agreement.
It is designed to articulate with SIGN guidelines and will equip the healthcare practitioner to respond to the holistic needs of the stroke patient and their family. The module is taught by a multi professional group of clinical experts to ensure relevant and up to date content.

Developing Leadership Skills in Stroke Services
The Clinical Practice Research Unit, University of Central Lancashire, University of Wales and Portsmouth Hospitals NHS Trust have collaborated to design an innovative programme to support leaders in stroke services.
The programme will be relevant to Senior Charge Nurses and deputies, Senior AHPs and deputies, team leaders, specialist nurses and AHP practitioners and others who have a clinical leadership role in aspects of stroke services.
