Volunteer Stroke Service (VSS)

Chest Heart & Stroke Scotland (CHSS) Volunteer Stroke Service (VSS) groups offer support to those who have had a stroke with particular focus on those with communication difficulties, and their carers and families. They are run by staff and aided by a team of volunteers.

In some areas one to one support can be provided on a temporary basis.

• North East—Grampian and Tayside
• South East—Fife Lothian and Borders
• North West—Highland and Western Isles
• Central West—Forth Valley (no services), Lanarkshire and Glasgow
• South West—Dumfries and Galloway, Ayrshire and Arran and old Argyll and Clyde
