Langholm Cardio Club

Group of people wearing yellow- the Langholm Cardio Club

river

This is the bridge over the river Esk, in Langhom where Thomas Telford, the world renowned civil engineer worked as an apprentice mason.

Langholm Cardio Club was formed in 2002 to help improve the quality of life for people in the community who have been affected by cardiovascular disease.

Langholm is a small community with a big heart, aptly named “The Muckle Toon”.

Our club is small but very friendly and through exercise and companionship we are able to promote the well-being of our members, many of whom have been with us since our inception in 2002.

Meetings are held:

  • Every Thursday morning from 9.30am till 10.30am.

  • At the Eskdale Sports and Leisure Centre.

We enjoy the facilities of a very well equipped gym.

A cup of tea / coffee and a chat rounds off the sessions.

Meetings are held throughout the year with a 2 week break in the summer and 2 weeks off at Christmas and New Year.

Summer outings and a Christmas Dinner are annual events.
