Exercise for life

St. Kentigern’s Church, New Farm Loch, Kilmarnock.

Killie Heartmates are an active cardiac exercise group formed 14 years ago to provide a keep-fit class for persons young and old who have suffered from a cardiac event: angina, heart attack, by-pass surgery, etc.

The committee and members are dedicated to ensuring the continued success of the club. Unlike a run-of-the-mill club there is a common bond among the members which creates a friendly atmosphere.

We are fortunate to have a super trainer in Mary Murphy who is a fully qualified B.A.C.R. Instructor (British Association of Cardiac Rehabilitation). Mary has been our trainer for over 11 years and is totally committed to improving Killie Heartmate members’ health and fitness.

We are also happy to invite partners along for exercise providing no medical problems prevent them from doing so.

The group also enjoys a busy social calendar e.g. a summer outing, Christmas dance. Each evening after the exercise class there is a relaxation period with the opportunity to have cup of tea / juice, a biscuit and a chat with fellow members.

Every Wednesday evening from 6.30pm – 7.30pm

Do come and join us - you'll be glad you did!
