Chest, Heart & Stroke Scotland (CHSS) has over 100 affiliated chest, heart and stroke groups/clubs covering the whole of Scotland. CHSS also provides support through the Heart Failure Volunteer Service patients and carers with the social impact of heart failure who are living in the community in Lothian.
Affiliated Heart Groups
CHSS affiliated Heart Groups/Clubs offer ongoing support for those living with heart conditions, their family and friends in local communities. They are independently run and provide a source of supported exercise, information, signposting, confidence and reassurance and are an invaluable part of learning to live with a heart condition.
East – Fife, Lothian, Tayside
West – Forth Valley, Greater Glasgow & Clyde, Lanarkshire
North – Grampian, Highlands (& Argyll), Orkney, Shetland, Western Isles
South – Ayrshire & Arran, Borders, Dumfries & Galloway
New Affiliations
We always welcome enquiries from people interested in starting a new Heart Group/Club, or affiliating an existing group/club to CHSS.

Heart Failure Volunteer Service
The aim of the Heart Failure Volunteer Service is to support patients and carers with the social impact of heart failure who are living in the community.
The Heart Failure Volunteer Coordinator, , offers friendship, information and support to enable patients to be socially active. The service is presently only accessible to individuals in the Lothian area and is linked with local cardiac support groups and voluntary agencies.
