Chest, Heart & Stroke Scotland (CHSS) nurses provide support in the community to people affected by heart and stroke illness throughout Scotland.
The nurses work in close liaison with primary, secondary and social care services and help people through the provision of information, advice and longer-term support. The nurses' main aim is to improve the well being and quality of life for individuals affected.
Stroke Nurses
A stroke nurse aims to facilitate a smooth transition from hospital back into the community for people who have had a stroke and their families. There services in
- North of Scotland—Grampian/Highland
- East of Scotland—Fife, Lothian and Lanarkshire
Heart Failure Volunteer Service runs in Lothian.
