CHSS Nurses

Patient and nurse

The CHSS Stroke Nurse Services work in partnership with the NHS in each area and complements the existing local provision of services.

Our services are also run in partnership with the local Stroke Managed Clinical Networks (MCNs) and are subject to regular audit and evaluation.

Our nurses are all specialists in the delivery of stroke care and our services are delivered in line with SIGN guidelines, NHS Quality Improvement (QIS) standards and local protocols.

The nurses work in close liaison with primary, secondary and social care services and help people through the provision of information, advice and longer term support. The nurses' main aim is to improve the well being and quality of life for individuals affected.
