The Ultimate Challenge!

Laura Hastings, Lead Advice Line Nurse is taking part in the CHSS Ultimate Abseil on Sunday June 10th 2012.

She is taking on this challenge to raise awareness of the CHSS Advice Line and to raise funds to help people living with chest, heart and stroke illness in Scotland.

World COPD Day 2011

On Nov 16th CHSS staff took part in World COPD Day events across Scotland. The aim was to raise awareness of COPD and promote healthy living for healthy lungs.

If you, or someone you know, is affected by COPD please contact the Advice Line nurses for information, support, and a free booklet and exercise DVD.

Would you like one of our Advice Line nurses to call you?

For 2 weeks from 3rd – 16th October you can head down to your local CHSS charity shop and leave your name and telephone number / email at the till if you would like an Advice Line nurse to call you back.

You can ask the nurse any question about living with a chest, heart or stroke illness, or for advice on reducing your risk factors and staying healthy.

While you're in the shop you might pick up a bargain, or why not drop off some donated goods to boost funds for the charity's services in your area? The shop staff will give you a free Advice Line bookmark and fridge magnet so our number is always close to hand if you need us.

We did it!

The Advice Line nurses had a wonderful time at the Ladies Driving Challenge in Edinburgh on 11th September 2011 and raised over £300 for people affected by chest, heart and stroke illness in Scotland.

Advice Line nurses take on the challenge!

The Advice Line nurses are taking part in the Ladies Driving Challenge on 11th September 2011 to raise money for people affected by chest, heart and stroke illness.

The nurses will drive forklift trucks, fire engines, police cars, heavy goods vehicles and more at Ingliston in Edinburgh.
